@japdmedia26: West New York, New Jersey — A Hudson County woman faces federal charges for allegedly voting in elections before becoming a U.S. citizen. ​Federal prosecutors state Lizabeth Almonte Rosa, 24, falsely certified she was a U.S. citizen on a voter registration form. Investigators say Almonte Rosa, an immigrant from the Dominican Republic, voted in both the June 2022 primary and the November 2022 general election while holding non-citizen status. ​According to court documents, Almonte Rosa later submitted an N-400 naturalization application where she falsely claimed she had never registered to vote or cast ballots in federal elections. She appeared in federal court in Newark on October 7, 2026.
