We both got into bed that night and my 16 year old got under her blankets and said, “I really don’t want to be over here. Can I sleep in bed with you.” Always, without hesitation. Yes. And the fact that this sweet girl WANTED to be right next to her mama when she could have had a bed all to herself… well, maybe I’m doing something right. I’m working on something special right now. Something to help parents (especially mothers, to connect and grow in relationship with their teenagers.) And I hope it will be something that blesses you immensely.
