Ex Operations Manager here, we wouldn’t check in the mobiles in an oversell situation because there was a potential for them not to come in and we wouldn’t have to walk anyone. Granted, -1 isn’t terrible cause there could be cancellations and then you’d be golden. I’d also close us out in MARSHA cause my hotel would oversell by like -7 or -15 at times.

and im at 43% occupancy today. By 350pm ive checked in all but 1 reservation. All my laundry is done, basically everything is done. We are by the beach. This is our first pretty slow week so what am I doing this shift? My nails lol 💅

this is normal for a hotel from 3-11 once maintenance and housekeeping leave we gotta be everything and know everything 😂🥰 I love the job tho! always meeting so many people from all over the world. super cool 😎

I’m a front desk worker too, your hotel makes you leave the desk to take items to guest rooms if guests request for things? We always have the guest come get what they need at my hotel so the desk isn’t left unattended.
