Sorry, I disagree. Your pen mark is off a bit. For all practical purposes all of Monroe County is in the FingerLakes region. Western NY begins at the Genesee county line.

Yeah we’re on the cusp but I always say western bc we are too far north to claim finger lakes, in my opinion.

Haha interesting take. I used to live in Rochester as a kid...and I always thought it was western NY 🤷♀️! I now live what you call basically Canada [Tears of joy][Tears of joy]. The northern foothills of the Adirondacks.
