@nbcnews: NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports from Cornell University's campus where students conducted a sit-in at a campus dining hall in support of Jane Doe and in protest of the university's handling of an alleged 2024 gang rape.

Prof Moore, PhD ☭ :

As a college professor I’m so proud of these students

Mattie Sharp :

I’m so proud of these people!

Brandon Max :

fill the cup with hearts 🫙❤️

Kate 🎀 :

As a woman, this is the part of the conversation that stays with me: solidarity is powerful, but accountability is what creates change. These students aren’t simply making noise they’re demanding specific answers about consent, institutional responsibility, Greek life, campus safety, and how allegations of sexual assault are handled

Celeste✨🌙 :

I am a Jane doe as well, and unlike many women who go through this, I was lucky enough to receive justice, but it makes me proud to see these students standing up and being so specific of what change really needs to look like.

I'm university staff in California, we are all standing with these students. Bc this happens at all campuses and we need to hold administrations accountable

ام محمد 🤍🩷 :

Everything about this world irritates me

idfkmanucrazyfr :

I’m sorry if this sounds stupid but what exactly do they mean by Greek life?

P1per_le42004 :

Yesssss

Craig Lambson346 :

I’ll be shocked if Jane doe did all that cause she wasn’t invited to an event, but if it was as she says then dang. Like that’s why let’s get to the bottom of this the truth. Don’t know why they’re attacking Greek life when they have supported it for decades.

Fiona :

Anything to avoid studying I guess 😭
