I may have got a little carried away with the unfollow part. There are actually a few good eggs in the XRP community who are in the “it’ll definitely get to $100k” bracket. They also, not so ironically, believe in some pretty far-fetched conspiracies… I wonder if those things are correlated? Lol. XRP will have a significant amount of buy pressure, but not enough to catapult the price to some of the levels being thrown around. As there are more buyers and sellers, you create a denser order book and the spread between bids and asks becomes tighter as more participants join the market. And somewhat ironically, out of all this, I have people telling me not to use market cap while simultaneously using the market cap multiplier to justify their outlandish price predictions 😂 You couldn’t make it up if you tried. Now, to my fellow XRP holders who are grounded in reality… you are going to do super fine this cycle. The asset has the largest mindshare outside of Bitcoin. It’s 87% correlated with BTC, while XRP’s market cap is around $89 billion versus Bitcoin at $1.57 trillion. That means Bitcoin needs approximately 18x the net capital flow to achieve the same percentage market-cap increase as XRP, assuming comparable market depth. And because they’re so tightly correlated, XRP has the potential to outperform BTC significantly on a percentage basis when the market is moving higher. Just keep in mind the unlocks can create volatility. You can see it on the chart. XRP performs best in an uptrend and can be one of the worst performers in a downtrend, making the chart look like a heart-rate monitor.
