@rebecaprouserdh: Gingival measurements are never perfect and often have a lot of variation due to anatomy of the tooth and the bone surrounding it. Gingival tissue is usually within 2 mm of the bone level. This is called the gingival width. If you loose 2 mm of bone, you’re very likely to loose 2mm of gingiva behind it.
