@agracefuljourney1111: Nobody talks about how frustrating it is to go from high achiever to literally not being able to function normally because turns out you were in survival mode. When you’re ready to step out of it check the L l N K in my profile
Burn out and grief took over and now I feel lost because I’m not functioning

Skill regression. It’s why lots of us pick up a camera and go wander in the woods.

Oh girl. I mourn the person I used to be. I judge myself for not being her. Intellectually, I understand what happened. Emotionally, it's incredibly hard to grasp.

I was born a refugee and lived my entire life as one. Then my dad passed away when I was 15 and I became responsible for everyone. I had everything under control and there wasn't anything I couldn't do. Then suddenly in my 20's, we move to a safe country and my brain realizes I'm not in danger anymore. And so everything comes crashing down. I struggle with basic daily tasks and barely keep up with schoolwork 😀

I held a very high powered position. Has a career that kept my phone in my hand 24/7. Went to school and raised kids while running a household. Then It’s like I hit a wall. Now I’m lucky if I brush my teeth everyday. I wouldn’t know me today

Living it right now. My biggest challenge is how to motivate myself to be at my former level without being driven by anxiety, expectations and stress. In other words, finding purpose.

Chronic illness will steal your life. Survived a stroke, epilepsy and kidney failure. Survival mode has me feeling drunk without drinking. Enter perimenopause. It's rough out here.
