You’re incorrect. Pasteurization kills off any bacteria or parasites left in the meat after cooking, so the sealed can stays shelf-stable for years without refrigeration. The catch is heat also denatures proteins and softens the texture, which is why canned lobster comes out mushier than fresh. That’s the trade-off for safety and shelf life.

It is overpriced. At first I thought that the price might be justified if it was shelf stable and there was claw meat in there but it didn’t have either and yeah almost 20 dollars for that is definitely overpriced

I got that same kind of quality in a can of scout lobster which is from Nova Scotia but paid $2.99 for it at grocery outlet so all forgiven. 😂
