PART ONE: @Violet’s Apothecary MALEK = OG LIGHTING WIELDER: @Violet’s Apothecary VIOLET MEETS MALEK: @Violet’s Apothecary I discuss what I think the true story behind the three brothers in the Fables of the Barren was about AND what “command the skies” means in terms of this quote: “But it was the third brother, who commanded the sky to surrender its greatest power, who finally vanquished his jealous sibling at a great and terrible price.” I think that Malek is the original lighting wielder/rider brother from the Fable, and the “great and terrible price” was him taking ALL access to sky magic away from everyone except the Irids. Because before that, EVERYONE could channel from the sky. Runes existed BEFORE the First Six bonded dragons and gained access to magic, meaning there had to have been a source before this that humans could draw from to make runes, otherwise HOW would the language exist? This weapon they are searching for that vanquished the venin 600 years ago during the Great War, is VIOLET. Malek was the OG, Warrick was also a lighting wielder but as we know, he was selfish and liked power. He wouldn’t be willing to give that power up, which is the cost to get rid of venin (and get Xaden’s soul back from Malek).
