@tradewithbanks: Why did the 10-year Treasury rate hit its highest since 2002 and then finish the day under Monday? Wednesday was a sale day: the government borrowed 39 billion dollars at 1:00, and researchers at the New York Fed found over 33 years that the rate climbs in the hours before a sale and comes back down after. The buyers showed up and took it back. What the Fed minutes said at 2:00, why there are two oil prices and which one the 94.64 line is on, and the lines on the ten-year, the dollar, the Dow and Bitcoin for Thursday. Not financial advice; trading involves risk. #stockmarket #mortgagerates #treasuryyields #oilprices #tradewithbanks
I wonder how many once in a lifetime historical events we'll live through lol I wish I could own a house one day 🥲

Boy oh boy there’s been so much learning in the past few weeks. Bad jobs report = good stock day since rate increase odds decrease. Which is crazy since you mainly want good jobs report but in reference to rate hikes it makes sense. 10 year still higher due to…inflation via oil shortage in the war…I think? Also when a lot of ious get sold the buyer can demand more interest. Then rates staying high because of the 74(I think that was the number you mentioned Tuesday). So many things are connected it’s insane. Higher rates = other things go down since the dollar pays more. So gold down. Then also euro going down due to oil and the war since it has to be bought in dollars. Now rate hikes likely so if another bad jobs report stocks go up since decrease in chance of a hike? I’m trying to understand but just as soon as I think I’ve got it another number / government report/ news article affects things as well. How the heck did you learn all these small parts and put the pieces tighter.

$94.64 is the level where oil starts feeding sustained inflation above 3.5% that the Fed can't ignore. Below $90 the inflation argument softens. Above $95 it becomes entrenched.
