@kqtzlyn: I’ve been trying my best to find the light in this situation, to still smile, make jokes, and laugh when I can. But honestly, this has taken a bigger emotional toll on me than I’d ever expect. There wasn’t any way for me to know that something like this could happen, I was inside my car when I noticed smoke coming from under the hood, and within just two minutes, that smoke turned into flames. I’m so grateful to God that I was able to escape when I did. This situation would’ve been very different if I was trapped inside. I’m truly grateful to be alive, but watching the fire get worse and spread so drastically is something I’ll never forget. As a young college student, unexpectedly losing the car I worked so hard to get has been extremely difficult to cope with. I relied on my car every day, and now I’m trying to figure out what comes next while continuing to manage school, work, and everything else life already brings. I can only imagine how scary that must’ve been. I would recommend reaching out to one of the mental health counselors on campus if you want, their sessions are free for enrolled students. Sending motivation, it may seem overwhelming now but everything will be okay ❤️
