Yes. But you think you’re holding a bazooka and your kind of holding a paper airplane. Until it’s a nationalized issue which it absolutely should be companies will just move to other states. Look at Dutch Bros. The problem with most of these policies you’re trying to unilaterally disarm without the rest of the country in toe. These need to be dealt with that National level and by doing it here we just consistently get companies to leave , which means no jobs and no tax space hence why we have a huge deficit and we are losing 9000 jobs per year. This Peacock caucus really wants to deal with big National issues because it looks good on TikTok and believe me so do I but we don’t actually have the ability to do that. Mandami has the largest economy of a city in the United States and he can make much bigger moves. I appreciate the thoughtfulness, but we don’t have the ability to do this all of these taxes do is drive people out of the city and we already have the highest effective tax rate for people of any city in the United States.

What I want to know is how we went for advocating for higher wages and better benefits and politicians somehow inserted themselves in the middle with their hand out blocking us saying tax the rich? How tf did that happen?

Please define “fair share” in objective, empirical, and falsifiable terms.

The same people who think it’s fair everyone pays the same are the same people who think couples who split 50/50 is fair instead of paying based on income. I DO think big corporations should pay their fair share!

Can’t wait for all those businesses to just leave and all those small businesses who are already failing and are crying to be subsidized will need to close. Then the people are left with nothing👍🏻 A+ plan
