I live in Luis Lopez but at least a bit higher up. My home was flooded with about 2-3 inches of water. I live next to the irrigation ditch. The ditch couldn’t hold the water so the arroyo a bit north of me backed up and came down the driveway to the house. The ditch overflows except it floods east so goes down to barn and pastures. I have been to Niagara Falls and the sound of the water equaled that. We are lucky we didn’t lose lives. The cleanup and damage repair is the worst part to those affected. Plus NM is poorly prepared for flooding.
