@acowolcott: Just another day in the life of an Animal Control Officer… 😅 Today’s call came in as an injured fox that had reportedly been seen dragging itself through an orchard. I arrived, found the drag marks, and followed them across the road and into an overgrown vineyard. Of course, visibility was basically nonexistent. Lol After some searching, I finally located the animal, and surprise… it wasn’t a fox. It was a bobcat! 🐾 I contacted Fish & Game, who sent a biologist out to safely capture and transport him for further care. Luckily, during the examination, he still appeared to have some feeling in his back legs, which is a very promising sign. 🤞🏼 Now we’re hoping this guy can be rehabilitated and, someday, released right back where he belongs. After 10 years in animal control, today I saved my first bobcat. 🥰 You truly never know what the day, or the next call, is going to bring. Just another day in the life🫶🏼🐾 #animalcontrol #bobcat #wildlife #rescue #animalcontrolofficer

jojo 🇵🇸 :

hey its always a good sign when wildlife puts up a fight when you try to catch them! thank you for helping this little guy out

alexysmariewilson :

all Bobcats are lynx. but not all lynx are Bob cats. this guy is wrong. Bobcats are lynx. the smallest in their family. there are a couple different types not just the snow lynx.

Nelly :

There’s one in the area where I live.

Lotte :

Them some big paws from not this bobcat 😅

Julianna :

I am just curious about the wolf you mentioned at the end. My daughter volunteers at a zoo sanctuary and they recently got a wolf. Do you know where you wolf went?

Kristin :

The fact that you even came for a fox equipped with a snappy snare is crazy to me 😂

💙Amy💙 :

He was a spicy fella 😂 hopefully he is going to be ok.

binky :

How easily he handed that bobcat 😳 you can definitely tell this guy is very familiar with them. Very cool 🥰

TJ :

Ok but I need that crate he had

kerri :

“Front end is definitely up and working” 😭

It’s me! 🪶 :

Bobcat belongs to the lynx family and lynxs are bigger than bobcats and have tufts of long fur on top of their ears

Ellie :

Easiest way to tell them apart is the length of their tails. Lynxs have little nubs compared to bobcats!

🩷Lauren_K🩷 :

The growling 😳 poor thing 😭
