Millions of us grew up wishing we lived in this house…but here’s something most Full House fans never knew. 🏡🥹 Close your eyes. It’s 1993. You’re walking through the red front door, the sound of laughter fills the living room, and somewhere upstairs, DJ and Stephanie are probably arguing. For eight seasons, from 1987 to 1995, the Tanner family made millions of viewers feel like they were part of something special. But the famous Full House home has a fascinating history. Located at 1709 Broderick Street in San Francisco, the beautiful Victorian was built in the 1880s, more than a century before the Tanner family made it famous. And here’s the surprising part… Not a single interior scene from the original series was filmed inside this house. The real home was used for exterior shots, while the living room, iconic staircase, colorful kitchen, and bedrooms were all constructed on a television soundstage in Los Angeles. Even the famous Painted Ladies featured in the opening credits aren’t the Tanner house! In 2016, Full House creator Jeff Franklin purchased the actual property for $4 million, hoping to recreate the beloved television interiors. Unfortunately, those plans never became reality. The home was renovated, changed owners, and eventually sold again in April 2025 for an incredible $6 million. But for those of us who grew up watching Danny, Jesse, Joey, DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle, that house was always worth more than money. It represented family dinners, bedtime stories, childhood friendships, and the comforting feeling that everything would somehow work out. So I decided to bring that feeling back. These recreated photos imagine what it might have looked like if someone walked through the Tanner family home in 1993 with a film camera, capturing each familiar room as though it really existed. No actors. No studio audience. Just the home we remember. And now I’m curious… If you could walk through that red front door one more time, which room would you visit first? 🥹 #FullHouse #90sNostalgia #ChildhoodMemories #90sKids #TVNostalgia
