We stayed in a panoramic glass cabin at Wilding Hotels in Fairbanks, Alaska and it felt like stepping into a winter wonderland. The entire cabin has heated floors, and the glass warms up too so snow and ice melt off instead of blocking the view. The cabins face north, which means you can watch the aurora from bed on clear nights. Our deluxe suite also had a private sauna and its own firepit. The property sits about twenty minutes from downtown Fairbanks, far enough from the city to stay quiet and peaceful while keeping restaurants and activities within reach. The light pollution is low out here so the stars and Northern Lights look bright and clear when the sky opens up. The concierge team helps with anything you need. They’ll start your sauna, set up the firepit, bring wool blankets, and help book activities like dog sledding. They also offer restaurant suggestions, private chef bookings, and grocery stocking before you arrive so the kitchen is ready to go.
