What if… both people work same amount of hours. The husband makes 2x the amount of the wife while the entire paycheck if the wife goes into the bills but the husband still expects the wife to pick up about 80% of the household responsibilities, including four children. Is the husband right for thinking that way because he brings in more money although both people work?

IDK much about relationships. I think the expectations are wrong. The mindset must be 100/100 when you take a relationship to that degree of commitment. I will give 100% of me and I need 100% of Him. While we may have roles within our home. We are both human and we learn to make it work for us. He is no good to me with one foot in and the other foot out the door. At least for me. my dad called me stupid for saying it's not fair for a working woman to work full time but them come do everything at home when he works too but comes to sit and rest. I don't see him the same, and yes my mum's neck has been stepped on for decades( not literally) you know what I mean.

As long as a woman is the one carrying the children, giving birth, breastfeeding, waking up at night, raising the kids and running the household, it will never truly be 50/50. She already gives her body, her time, her sleep and her mental and emotional energy to her family. She has enough on her plate. A woman should not have to worry about splitting bills, making sure the finances are covered or carrying the financial stress on top of everything else. A man who truly values his wife will understand that providing for the family is his responsibility, while she is already carrying so much at home. Marriage isn't about dividing everything 50/50. It's about each person fulfilling their role and supporting one another. A woman who carries the home and the children shouldn't also have to carry the financial burden. She already does enough.
