Tip for parents or honestly anyone, if someone (especially a toddler) is missing look in the dangerous places first. Dont look under the table or under the bed, look in the pool, bath, dryer, car, places like that. If they are in one of those places they need help fast, if they're just playing hide and seek they will be fine for a few more minutes

You guys don’t understand how it isn’t common sense. I had my daughter one day at 7 months old. I had put socks on her after a bath. (Those socks had hair inside from the dryer and I didn’t check bc i was a new mom) three hours later my baby was screaming in pain with those washed socks on hairs had gotten stuck in one of them and wrapped around her toes. She was crying I didn’t know why so I made another bath. Took the sock off and saw her toes were tightly wrapped up and bleeding. THREE HOURS since I put those socks on not knowing. ALWAYS CHECK socks for hair. It’s not common sense. I never imagined my hair would get wrapped into freshly washed socks.

If you have a son, check his diaper area too. My son had a hair there, and it took 15 minutes and a lot of screaming from him to get it off.

Yall saying “it’s common sense” but I never ever even thought about the fact that hair can wrap around their toes, feet or even inside their diaper. Wtf, Thank u so much for this video. I’m not a mom yet but I will keep it in mind.

And this is strange but if you have a boy those parts too. I once babysat for my moms friend and had found his mothers hair wrapped around him from when she changed him before dropping him off. Thankfully not tight but changing in dark spaces it is possible.

For future, instead of baby scissors, get nair. Coming from a pharmacy tech this is what drs will recommend to new mothers with new babies. It’s the easiest way to get it off without potentially injuring the baby. Clean off all excess nair after the hair has dissolved 🫶🏻

A tip someone gave me before I had my first baby: buy NAIR for situations like this! It will melt the hair off quickly and you don’t have to worry about using scissors near your baby’s skin during an already stressful situation

Always check the neck too you can barely see their necks so it’s a dangerous spot, my baby had a hair wrapped completely around his neck but there was no issue thankfully I caught it quickly

And if you have a boy, check the diaper area.. No one told me and I was a first time mom, states away with no family, and had no experience with boys cause all the baby's I had been around were girls. the fibers from the diaper or hair can get wrapped around their parts and cut off circulation!!
