Hello everyone! Here I am with the next game. This time I’ve played Inside. This was a real nice change of pace. After playing three really long and big open world games. Inside is a nice short indie game and is actually surprisingly dark en fun! World design: This game had a really dark setting. It felt apocalyptic and like an image of our world but at the same time not very much like our world. It was a 2D game and still every setting pulled my attention to it. AI: This was a very simple game without the big boss fights and stuff like that. But still there were some enemies and they still had fun challenges linked to them. These challenges though in most games can be real glitchy and sometimes horrible to do but they worked well in this game and were actually equally enjoyable and challenging to complete Story: This game doesn’t have any dialogue and is really just scenes after scenes. They scenes separately tell a story and in the end even a little all together. But this line is to thin to call this a good story even though I enjoyed the scenes separately! Gameplay and controls: This game had really basic controls and was really not a though challenge to understand. But even though they were simple I enjoyed them and think that the controls worked perfectly. The gameplay was smooth and worked perfectly. This game had some challenge to it but was just about enjoying the game and not too much about hard challenges which was refreshing! Characters: Just like I earlier said about that there was no real story. There also were not a lot of characters, actually the only one you got to know a little is the character you play as. You play this game as a little boy who goes on a weird adventure with a horrifying end to it. I can’t rate the character all to high, because you don’t know his backstory, nothing about him or even his name. But he still is memorable with his bright red shirt in a really dark dystopian world. Sound design: This game had some really good sound design. The souns just amplified every scene. It made them scarier, more wholsome or more disgusting. It was really well done! Also this game had some good music in it. I really had a fun time and change of pace with this game. I do enjoy myself a Indie game from time to time and this was definitely one of the best I have played. I do recommend this game if you’re for a somewhat slower short game!
