y’all need to understand that actors are literally taught not to hate the characters they play, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to get into the role and portray them so well. that’s why she talks about chris like this 😭

This woman is a fucking FORCE. Absolutely carried the show, my jaw was on the floor every time she was on screen. So much depth to her interpretation of the character.

The character is just evil. Nothing happened to her to make her hate people or the world. Yeah, she had problems, but her father didn't suddenly die, she didn't pray in the closet, she could read what she wanted, she had friends, she wasn't bullied at school.

And she succeeded in embodying such nuance. It's the most grounded portrayal out of all the performances. right down to her last second, the performance allows the audience to really feel sympathy for Chris

y'all a good actor HAS to feel for their character no matter how bad they are, otherwise they'll hate them and won't portray them from inside

Yess!!! The way she played Chris was soooo powerful. You can literally see in her face the range of emotions and the struggle she goes through internally with KNOWING she should do the right thing but ultimately defaults to what she knows because she is just trying to survive after her entire life was just taken away from her.

I get her thought process but this logic is NOT okay or healthy. We can’t empathize with bullies, especially when they’re vile villains like Chris in the show
