@mintlightingdesign: 3 things I would never do when lighting a living room. A standard lighting plan will give you a grid pattern full of downlights across your ceiling, but I know everyone’s home lighting needs are different and believe there’s no one-size-fits-all. Who am I? I’m Adele Locke, founder and lighting designer at MINT Lighting Design, where we create layered lighting for homes across Australia and worldwide. I’m also big on lighting education, sharing practical knowledge and years of experience to make residential lighting design easier to understand, wherever you are in your lighting journey. #lightingtips #lightingdesign #foryou #homelighting #interiordesign

What sort of lighting would you use to help a ceiling look taller please? 🥹

you are basically talking about budget. very few understand the difference within the most common budget. most none trillionaires go past the grid of downlights.

The big lights in our home are there for when we need to see what are our dogs chewing and how expensive it will en up being. Besides that, lamps. Lamps everywhere.
