I think nowadays with most marriages unfortunately ending; if you have assets before you enter a relationship then yes. If you get married young, build a family and businesses while together, and become wealthy together as a unit, then it’s 50/50. Pretty simple.

According to their podcast, she wanted one. Joe didn't want one because he truly seems like he would not go after anything. He said it himself that he would go broke getting her out of his life. Marrying Grocery Store Joe,(who had a podcast, sauce and brand deals), Serena knew there was more money that was going to be made. If they get divorced, I honestly believe she would say THEIR podcast was because of her. It's all she has. However, she wouldn't have it without Joe. So should they get divorced, Joe would have a solid argument. I don't think she believes that though.

Even if no assets, if you marry someone with debt get a prenup on their debt. Don’t ever let them used combined money to pay a debt

Joe could douche her, but she can't him? Her example was if he had rental property from before, a prenup would make sure those went back to him. So, that means that she NEEDS a prenup to give him what is rightfully his. Without the prenup, SHE is going after him.
