I went to anyc by myself and I had some fun. Just stay true to yourself, have a little confidence, and take pictures with anyone who you think has a cool cosplay. You might get nervous when you ask but you'll be alright and you'll probably make their day if you were one of the only people who did ask for any kind of picture. Aside from picture taking, giving them compliments can work as well. Everyone is there for almost the same reason so you can always find a way to strike up a conversation with someone.
