Caribbeans often will go to US and Canada now anyway. not as much as they used to come to the UK

Caribbean migration hasn’t been high since the 70s. Most Caribbean and Latino people go to America or Canada

The United States and Canada is much closer as well. Makes sense to go there over the UK.

The entire Caribbean population is comparable to two states in Nigeria, and there are 36 states in Nigeria. Africa comprises 54 countries. This comparison between the Caribbean and Africa will never make sense to me. 😂

We have culture, but not traditions. That's what keeps African & Asians strong

I used to say this in the early 2000’s and Black British Caribbean men would just gaslight and be in denial about it

It’s definitely not because less caribbean people are moving to England in comparison to other groups

It’s also that a lot of people who are black and are Caribbean now identify as black British rather than black Caribbean

I really dislike the subtext of this debate in terms of what it implies about mixed-race children, like they’re some sort of unwanted obstacle to maintaining Afro-Caribbean demographic stats.

Jamaicans* specially needing a visa to come to the UK in the first place as our Caribbean counterparts were still allowed visa-free up until very recently for Trinidad & St Lucia I think was wayyyyyyy before Theresa May

There’s that & how far down the line can it go ? Most kids of Caribbean heritage now have grandparents born and raised in England, we’re a couple generations ahead of African people in most cases.

Because it went from traditional families moving here to the 1st or 2nd generation to be born here have kids with no family unit younger generations don’t want that we want stability. If you even look outside of the group everyone is having less kids no one can afford it. It’s selfish to bring children into a world where you can’t even provide them with the basics. I don’t know why it’s an issue now when people have been speaking about this for like the last 30+ years it’s only getting airplay because now the men have realised what they’ve done.

1. The Caribbean is significantly smaller, & loads of Caribbeans were already mixed before they even came over here. 2.Caribbean people have been taught to mix with other races from when they was already in the Caribbean, such as white people, Asian people etc. 3. Also we are in a country where every single race & ethnicity is more than black Caribbeans & as you said we are the ones who are not still coming over in masses.
