Why did Lainie change the reins? Genuinely curious because Kennedy immediately changed her posture. So interesting!

As an English girlie this whole series is making me want to throw a western saddle on my event horse and see what happens

I love this video! Just curious why Kennedy was chosen to be the one ridden for this?

She’s doing (and you) so good! It’s gotta be so different for y’all switching to English. It’s so different! And it seems like she enjoys it actually.

Love Lainie’s training style! My green bean tb is a sensitive girl and needs lots of positive reinforcement so she knows she’s on the right track and doesn’t get frustrated.

This is where you’ll find how different English is to Western.

Laine is 1000% correct that you need to praise your horse during this process because she doesn't know what you are asking of her. She's learning to. You also tend to fairly consistently hold your hands to wide apart. Think width of her mouth.

There are lots of people saying their English riding instructor was mean 😂. Yes, they are a little strict and mean, but I think (being English and only riding English) that riding English is so precise and always reaching for perfection so that your horse knows it's ques and doesn't get confused is why they are stickler for anything even minutely wrong. This type of riding is extremely technical for the rider and the horse and takes patience and resilience
