This water propagated Monstera has been in water for I don’t know how long, but today I decided to step it up. Here’s how I did it. ✂️ I started by teasing the roots and removing roots that had any signs of rotting, but because I saw some that looked suspicious and did not want to remove too much or risk the plant, I sprayed the roots down with hydrogen peroxode. 🪨 Then in order to create a soil mix that would provide proper aeration, but still have some water holding capacity during this initial crucial stage of transplanting, I used a mix of coco chunk, coir, bark, clay balls and perlite. 🪾Then too keep the plant growing sturdy and upright I cut a piece of cedar that the plant could grow on. 🪴And continued to plant the monstera in the pot with the stake and secure the plant to the stake. 💦 During these initial stages I will water heavier for the first couple weeks, and slowly back off the watering to help it survive and get used to it’s new environment. #houseplants #plants #plantcare #planttips #plantcaretips #houseplant #propagation #Monstera 😊Enjoy.
