@topeadenugaofficial: What if the greatest academic achievement your child can have is learning to take responsibility for their own learning? One thing that gives me so much joy is seeing children who don’t need to be constantly reminded to study, do their homework, prepare for a project, or improve themselves. They develop ownership of their learning. As parents, our goal shouldn’t only be to raise children who are “best in class.” We should raise children who are self-driven, responsible, disciplined, curious, and willing to put in the work even when nobody is watching. The school they attend, the teachers they encounter, and the culture we create at home all play a role. But ultimately, we want to move from “Go and do your homework” to “I know what I need to do, and I’ll do it.” Parents, how are you helping your child take ownership of their learning? #Parenting #Education #ChildDevelopment #academicsuccess #parentingtips

This is My Son, we accidentally found out he could read at age 3, he prefers book stores to McDonald's. He is 5 now, he just started KG and after school he goes to his room read his books or Bible. Nothing we did he is just like that!

Please what do we do to make them take ownership of their learning? Though my son will be 3 in Dec but I’ll like to get him to that level.

I have been using a planner with my girls and that’s a game changer. Every child needs a study buddy planner to help their child take ownership of their own learning.

This is so true. Then, when my daughter was in pre-kg class, she always disturb me to come do her homework before she will even start playing. She was always eager to go to school everyday. But when she got to kg 1, she doesn’t even want to do her homework and don’t even want to go to school anymore. She was even telling me to change her school. Several other parents where even experiencing same thing with that children in same class too, the school management then brought the former pre kg teacher to kg 1 on Monday, everything is now normal again, my daughter now ask to do her homework whenever she get back from school and also loves to go to school now.
