current science say massive object depresses the spacetime continuum. think of inertia, the reluctance/resistance to move as due to being inside a spacetime trench, formed by its own weight. prof wheelers theory is the momenergy or grip of spacetime on matter, which apparently occurs at faster than light speed is square root, meaning can be negative as well. by convention, havit, we just ignore the negative grip.
