@steven: “Your family can’t help you...” 💔 Evy Poumpouras explains why constantly asking other people for advice can stop you from developing your own instincts. She believes it’s better to make the wrong decision yourself, learn from it and become more confident in your ability to choose. The more you trust yourself, the stronger your gut instinct becomes. You can’t build confidence in your decisions if you never make them yourself. #advice #improvement #thediaryofaceo
That's the biggest problem I have with my spouse. He runs everything by his mom & not me.

the greatest advice I’ve been waiting for the whole day! asking someone else about my idea/plan has made my life extremely harder. what they think, confuse me, and sometimes, even worse, it made me think that my plan isn’t just right.

And own it whether it’s good or bad. The more you do, the more trust you’ll have for yourself

yep you need to learn to trust yourself. once i started to practice this my decision making became soo much better. no more asking people if i should wear a certain outfit or what i should do. because their doubts will get in your head but THEY ARENT YOU 🙏🙏🙏

This is why people who grew up without that, have strong intuition. We couldn’t rely on anyone, so re just went with what we thought was best and sent it. [Fire]

Advice from people who’ve done it has saved me from plenty of mistakes. The trick is to listen widely, then make the call yourself and own it.

Great advice. Also writing the list of the pros and the cons helps and then test the decision in your mind if you make the wrong decision you’ll automatically not want to do it and if you make the right decision you’ll feel at peace. this takes practice by decision-making on your own but eventually or hopefully soon you will get to this place.

This is exactly what I have been practising very lately.
And honestly things have gotten way easier when I stopped asking for other people's opinions.
