@philippinestar: Despite feeling unwell, prosecution counsel Erwin Matib appeared before the Senate impeachment court on Wednesday afternoon, apologizing to the court and the witness for causing delays due to his sudden illness. "Before we proceed, I’d like to sincerely apologize to the presiding officer and to all the senator-judges, as well as to our defense counsel and our witness, who has been waiting to testify today," he said. "Noted, counsel. And as the Chair said earlier, let nothing further be said on matters that we don’t want to use the word “waste” for, but that we don’t want to spend any more time on," presiding officer Chiz Escudero replied to him. #newsph #philippinestar #impeachmenttrial #vpsara
