I use phrases in meetings like “I think you’re trying to put the foundation on before the primer” or “it’s your choice, but I think you’ll regret not skin prepping.” If there’s women in the room the obviously get it. But no man does. I HATE sports metaphors.

I love using all of these techniques, especially in a group class setting where certain individuals are trying to dictate and interrupt my class. Watching the other attendees clock my approach, enjoy the show and compliment how I handled it afterwards is immediately satisfying 😂

I've never had the questioning problem as much as I have had the unreasonable demands problem... and I have two ways of dealing with it... 1. "I'm actually unsure if that fits within my scope, but I will double check that and let you know before I proceed." 2. I can get it done fast, or i can get it done well... which standard would you prefer in this situation?" 🤣🤣

Thank you for sharing this. I didn’t realize this is what was happening to me with a male leader at work. Some of these wouldn’t fly in my workplace but a few are excellent. I’d need to soften a lot of them though
