@raswumpini: The Head of TVET at the Kintampo North Municipal office of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mr. Effah Douglas, has alleged that some individuals are deliberately sabotaging the work of the Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu. Mr. Douglas attributed the delay in the payment of teachers' promotion arrears to the decision by the GES to resort to manual collection of data from teachers instead of using the online system which has been in existence since 2018. According to him, the online data collection process had been working perfectly until the new government assumed office in 2025, with no undue delays in the payment of arrears. He suspects that the current situation, which has forced teachers to embark on a strike action, could be a deliberate attempt by some individuals to tarnish the image of the minister and undermine his presidential ambition. Mr. Douglas made the allegation while contributing to a panel discussion on GBC Radio Kintam

They created EMIS and we thought the days of asking us to submit documents from time to time is over but still they ask for hard copies.
