Depends on the bomb. We dialed back on how powerful our nuclear weapons are after the Cold War for the sake of contained destruction however if Cold War nuclear bombs were used yes I could see this

As someone who formerly studied nuclear physics, this is wildly innacurate. Most fallout would be confined to Texas Most people not bordering Texas would be fine.

this is inaccurate, nuclear fallout happens in a smaller area and the safe zone is still in teaxs, nuclear fireballs only reach around 4 miles out and the expanding fire goes out for 7 miles, btw this is just the largest nuclear bomb created the Tsar Bomb, most nukes only reach a fireball radius of 2 miles
