There’s an argument to be made that it’s worth keeping an outed traitor in the game until the final 7 or so, basically up until the point where they wouldn’t recruit a new one. His fellow traitors can’t coordinate with him during the day without looking suspicious, and anyone who votes with him also looks suspicious. The faithful can then get rid of him and be stronger going into the final, with fewer traitors to hunt for
