I’m genuinely curious why we so rarely consider the possibility that a Middle Eastern perfume house might simply create its own original fragrance. After all, Lattafa is an independent perfume brand, not just a company that makes copies of other fragrances. I think your experiment is really interesting! You’re comparing two perfumes to see just how similar they actually are. But even if they turn out to be very close, they’re still two different fragrances. I’m more than convinced that there’s no official confirmation that these perfumes were inspired by or intended to be dupes of anything. I think most of these comparisons come from fragrance bloggers and the perfume community itself. As far as I’ve seen, Lattafa doesn’t claim on its official website that its fragrances are dupes of other perfumes. So why do we automatically assume they are?
