@ssurajthapa: Today, USS Abraham Lincoln arrives home in San Diego after a deployment lasting more than 10 months. The carrier left San Diego on November 21, 2025, for what began as a Pacific deployment before being redirected to the Middle East. During the deployment, Abraham Lincoln and its strike group carried out sustained operations across the Middle East and Indo-Pacific. The deployment also set a remarkable record. After leaving Guam in December, the carrier spent 264 consecutive days at sea without a port call, the longest such stretch ever recorded by a U.S. aircraft carrier. Sailors finally stepped ashore again when the ship reached Thailand on September 2. By the time Abraham Lincoln arrives home today, the deployment has lasted 322 days. During its time in the Middle East, the strike group also completed 40 days of continuous combat operations and later received the Presidential Unit Citation for its actions. For the thousands of sailors aboard and the families waiting in San Diego, today marks the end of an exceptionally long deployment and a long-awaited homecoming. Note: The image in the circle is from USS Abraham Lincoln’s 2022 homecoming in San Diego. At the time of this posting, the carrier has not yet arrived today.
