@thisismoney: Hedgehog among four animals chosen to feature on the UK's new banknotes. 🦔💷 A hedgehog, barn owl, bumblebee and puffin have been selected as the animals that will feature on the next generation of Bank of England banknotes following a nationwide public consultation. The four species were chosen from thousands of public submissions and will appear across the redesigned £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes, replacing the current historical figures theme. The Bank of England said the new designs aim to celebrate Britain's wildlife and natural heritage, with each animal representing a different aspect of the UK's biodiversity. The redesigned banknotes are expected to be introduced gradually over the coming years, with the final artwork and release dates yet to be confirmed. #ThisIsMoney #Money #News #UK
