MOVIE: QUIZ GIRL SPOILER: Anne calls Jenny her hero because years ago, Anne sh4t in a hole in their cousin’s backyard as a child, and Jenny took the blame without telling Anne. Anne wins the show, Ron has an on-screen meltdown. In the end, Anne goes on to win a record breaking 93 consecutive games and eventually becomes a writer for the quiz show. ENTIRE SUMMARY: Anne is a shut in from having a neglectful family growing up - her father left, her mother was a gambling addict, and her older sister Jenny eventually abandons Anne to pursue fame. Anne takes solace in a Quiz game show, and watches it every night for comfort. Soon, she lives alone with her dog Mr Linguini, is tightly wound, and has no life outside of her stressful work. One day, Jenny reunites with Anne after years of not talking and Jenny shares that she won a huge lawsuit against a restaurant for choking on a fish bone. Jenny secretly records Anne one night while watching the Quiz show because Anne answers each question accurately with remarkable speed, and the video goes viral. So viral that a loan shark comes to Anne’s residence and steals Mr Linguini, demanding Anne pay her mom’s $80k debt. Jenny tells Anne to audition for the Quiz show, and Anne refuses saying she must get her dog back. Jenny decides to kidnap Anne and take her to auditions which Anne does well in despite being on hallucinogens that Jenny gives her. Also during this time, Anne dislocates her wrist and the two bond further at the hospital. When Anne returns home, he has courage to bond with her neighbor as well, and later stands up for herself at work. Meanwhile, Jenny finds the loan shark and steals Mr Linguini back. The two travel to LA to get Anne on the show, Anne performs remarkably throughout the show, and then we see this clip. This summary was made without AI :)
