Khi người Hà Nội bắt đầu hát về điện… Điện đã thực sự trở thành một phần của thành phố. “Thắp hoài năm canh…” Một câu xẩm. Một Hà Nội xưa. #HaNoiDuoiAnhDien #HatXam #XamHaNoi #HaNoiXua #EVNHANOI
Passengers on a China Airlines flight to Los Angeles got an unwelcome surprise today when an Airbus A350-900, registration B 18915, reportedly sucked foreign debris into its left engine just after pushback from the gate. The widebody jet was still on the ground and had not begun its takeoff roll when the problem was spotted, and the departure was halted as crews dealt with the issue. China Airlines has not yet released a detailed public statement on the extent of the damage or the fate of the flight, but events like this normally trigger a thorough inspection of the affected engine and surrounding structure before the aircraft is cleared to fly again. Even relatively small debris can chip or bend fan blades inside a jet engine, which is why maintenance teams treat any suspected ingestion as a serious safety issue that can mean a long delay or an aircraft change for passengers. In aviation this kind of incident falls under foreign object debris, or FOD, when loose items on the apron or taxiways get pulled into engines, cut tires or jam moving parts. Airports and airlines spend a lot of time and money on FOD walks, ramp cleaning and tool control because debris related damage is estimated to cost the industry billions of dollars a year and can, in rare cases, lead to major accidents. Today’s scare ended on the ground, but it is another reminder of how much safety work happens long before a flight ever leaves the runway.
