The last time fuel duty was cut by 5p, only about 0.6p of that was passed onto the consumer and the rest was absorbed by the fuel company as extra profit

Where’s the magic money tree to fund the fuel duty that would be lost cutting fuel duty? What’s to say the fuel companies will just pocket the fuel duty that won’t be charged?
