@c5news: Are you one of thousands of people being prescribed unlicensed cannabis products by private clinics? If you are, then there's a warning. While a law change in 2018 made this possible, experts say they could be harming patients, as regulations aren't keeping up with demand. There are now calls for tighter regulations. It is estimated that there are currently around 100,000 active medical patients in the UK. In 2023, there were fewer than 10,000. The warning also comes as nearly two million unlicensed cannabis items were prescribed privately in England over the past 12 months.
