And I am sooo tired of explaining this to men. Unless you’re willing to stand up for a woman/ girl that you don’t know or it doesn’t benefit you, you are not a protector. Women will step in to help even if it compromises our safety.

I mean, women have been told since they were girl, but it’s all males, but somehow we’re supposed to forget that after all the mails in our lives have told us when we’re older? It doesn’t make any sense what their logic is. exactly, men like to claim that saying that men are bad is wrong and discredits the "good" ones. But ask a dad(who cares about his daughter) to keep his underage daughter with a random man he knows nothing about in another state. See if he'll agree to it.

Every man has a potential to hurt you 100%. And excercising caution in that is absolutely ok, and we as men shouldnt see that as an attack. But your comparison of the two events is a little off on one hand its «every random man could be dangerous» and then men get mad at that but to justify that you use «men dont want to step in cause they know that men are dangerous» but the disconnect here is that in the latter there WILL be some form of altercation, and an altercation between men has a way higher chance of being physical and «deadly» than if it were a woman standing up to a man. And a man being nasty (for example those in the bus) has a way higher chance for being violent. That is where the «i dont want to engang cause i could be extremely hurt» comes from. But again i agree that men should stand up against other man, and it should be normalized to do so, but men who dont arent cowards, theyre scared like any other human

As a yt man, it is on me to demonstrate safeness over time to women, to Indigenous folk, to Black men, to others of the global majority. Not a very burdensome responsibility. Very light when compared to the things Black folk, indigenous folk and women of all kinds have to carry.
