@charleybournetruecrime: The Tragic Case Of Willie Francis 💔 If Christa Pike’s botched execution sounds bad.. wait until you hear about the guy who survived the electric chair.. It was a cold December in 1944 in St Martinsville Louisiana. A man named Andrew Thomas owned a pharmacy in the area and his body was tragically found outside his home. The crime case went cold and unsolved for months until a boy, Willie Nelson, was arrested by police in an unrelated incident. Investigators said that on him, they found the victim, Andrew Thomas’s Wallet.. He was promptly charged with that far more serious crime, but the evidence was controversial. Willie signed two confessions that contradicted each other. The weapon was also determined to have belonged to a serving police officer. The trial lasted less than 2 days - and despite there being no forensic evidence against the boy he was found guilty and was sentenced to death But things are about to get even more shocking.. because rumours are that a drunk prison guard failed to wire up the electric chair properly.. When the switch was flipped it became very clear very quickly that the current wasn’t strong enough… True crime story time Christa pike #crime #crimetok #crimestory #truecrime

This is missing too much of the racial dynamics of the time. The nuance is important

This case reminds me of the green mile. After searching it, I found out that the movie is based on another case; George Stinney Jr. Can you maybe tell his story too?

Limo 🍉 :

I think its an injustice to tell this without the overarching historical reason it would have been “a bit dodgy”
