My dad would tell us every time we went to the movies, the ball games or to the skating rink, that he had eyes watching us so be on our best behavior. Got older and realized he did. Everyone in town knew us by our parents, aunts/uncles, grands, etc.

depending on where you are in the south that cousin has already seen your 😺 and you can still cuss out ricky just make sure they know its you when you do it so they know to keep quiet about it later so you dont embarrass them with their garbage driving

Literally just had my great grandpa’s last living sibling pass away. Come to find out my husband’s family was related to him too somehow😂 my husband and I are not related by blood in any way, shape, or form but goodness do we have so many similar relatives just by someone marrying somebody else

For a long while growing up I'd go to family reunions in the OG small town and the entire town was basically related to me somehow. Everyone knew the last name and could direct us to the reunion if we were ever lost, during that month they'd see a new face and just assume that's what we were there for too. Sucks how things changed though as the older generations passed on
