😏 Slave masters did not have to waste their time leaving the plantation to hunt for runaway slaves when the capturing could be done by the runaway's own "blood" (opportunistic sell-outs like the Maroons). We, as Black people, are our own worst enemies. We are the ones who teach the false education of the oppressors, sell their destructive food and goods, hide their secrets, and maintain or support their oppressive laws and systems. We do all of this simply to be promoted from field slaves to house slaves, or to receive a few "shiny trinkets."
