Leeds Crown Court heard that Dale Knights, of Kirkstall Lane, Leeds, carried out a sustained campaign of abuse against three separate women. Knights raped one victim twice and assaulted her by penetration twice, leaving her with severe panic attacks, seizures, and trauma. West Yorkshire Police's Leeds Adult Safeguarding team launched an investigation, uncovering further patterns of abuse where Knights subjected two other women to controlling and coercive behaviour, alongside stalking offences. Knights was convicted of two counts of rape, two counts of assault by penetration, and coercive control, having admitted stalking. On Thursday 1 October 2026, the court sentenced Knights to a total of 19 years' imprisonment and placed him on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
