Upon doing so, the staff instantly transforms into a moving snake; though Moses naturally feels fear, God reassures him and restores it to its original form. God then demonstrates a second miracle by instructing Moses to place his hand under his arm, which emerges radiating a brilliant, pure white light without any defect.
