Its possible
but it has limitations
Disadvantages and Limitations
Power Derating: Using basic capacitor conversion reduces the motor's effective output power (torque and horsepower) to roughly 60% to 70% of its original three-phase rating.
Reduced Efficiency and Overheating: The motor will run hotter and less efficiently because the single-phase supply creates a pulsating or unbalanced magnetic field instead of a smooth, balanced rotating magnetic field.
Lower Starting Torque: The motor will struggle or fail to start under heavy loads unless an appropriately sized start-capacitor circuit is added.
Increased Vibration and Noise: Operating on an artificial phase causes higher mechanical vibration, leading to reduced bearing and motor lifespan.
