An Lpn is still a nurse. I don’t like the way you emphasized the RN part

Long med pass means she was actually doing her assessments and verifying pts info.

She might not have been hard to teach, they be throwing people in without proper training. This is terrible for all involved. SMH 🤦♀️

Sorry, but this girl was probably passing the meds correctly. Some nursing homes have policies that set the nurse up to fail. There's no way you can follow the policies and pass the meds on time!

a nurse once retaliated by keying my car just because I reminded her to not smoke around the oxygen tanks outside.

Most RNs that come to LTC from the hospital can not handle it and struggle. Most quit within a few days/weeks. It’s a lot of pressure.

As a LTC nurse that is a LPN. The RN’s that are “difficult to train” in LTC actually means they do not like to take direction from LPNs. In LTC the majority of your nurses are LPNs.

not condoning, but she was used to fast paced, the stat meds s/b on or near the cart, and taking hours to do meds, she was probably doing the cna's job too.

I don’t think she was hard to teach, it was probably that she was trying to maintain an appropriate standard of care
